Cinematographer, Brian Troy, to lens “Seclusion”

Brian Troy a Philadelphia-based cinematographer who graduated from Drexel University where he received a B.S. in Film and Television Production. He completed an internship at QVC and continued working in the QVC lighting and videography departments for several years strengthening his technical lighting skills. He worked next as a camera operator for HGTV, A&E, Live Well and DIY Networks. He nurtured his visual, aesthetic approach to narrative storytelling through opportunities filming branded content, narrative shorts and music videos. Overtime, he developed a passion for symmetrical composition and high-contrast visuals.

His recent Director of Photography credits have provided him with a variety of storytelling opportunities. Recent DP credits include: ABC travel series Discover China, Amazon Prime feminist biographical series Modern Hero, an urban development series Saving the City, an in-progress Netflix sports series following the high school journeys of the country’s most elite high school basketball stars, and a Fox Sports Films feature documentary that highlights an elite Florida-based 7vs7 organization and the competitors’ road from amateur status to the NFL. His career highlights to date include filming down the center of the Yangtze River and an interview with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Brian is also a 2020 ASC Vision Mentee.
